What this site is
LactationConsultantsNearMe.com publishes state rules on lactation consultant licensing and Medicaid billing, provider counts, guides and free printables. It is not a medical provider, a referral network or a booking service, and it is not affiliated with IBLCE, ILCA or USLCA.
Not advice
Nothing here is medical, lactation, legal or billing advice, and nothing here replaces your pediatrician, doctor, midwife, IBCLC, lawyer or health plan. State rules change; the date beside each fact is when we read it. If you are making a decision that depends on a rule — where to practise, how to bill, whether a visit is covered — confirm it with the agency or plan first.

Reusing our data
The datasets at /api/state-licensure.json and /api/lactation-care-access.json are our compilation, licensed CC BY 4.0: you may reuse and adapt them, including commercially, with attribution to https://lactationconsultantsnearme.com. The underlying public records belong to the agencies that publish them. How the data is made.
Printables
The free printables are for personal use. Print and share them freely with family and friends; please do not sell them.
Accuracy and corrections
We read every source we cite and record the date, and we still make mistakes. Every correction is dated and kept on the corrections page. The site is provided as it is, without any warranty that it is complete or current.
